The Sheboygan Art Museum was evacuated Tuesday, January 30th, 2001 at approximately 9am just three and a half hours before a scheduled Columbine style attack was to take place. The attack was thwarted when Kelly Bennet called 911 after reviewing photos of DeGuzman with his arsenal that DeGuzman dropped off for development at a Long's Drug Store. Police obtained a warrant to search DeGuzman's home where they found bombs, guns, apologetic suicide tape, and a journal. The journal contained a sketch of the museum and detailed plans with a timeline for attack which was set to begin at 4:30 am that morning. |
