Peter Yerkov, son of Estonian immigrants who settled in Sheboygan, Wi. In the 1930's, is one of our Proudest sons.  His works have been shown in at least one gallery in New York City, and can be found in pawn shops and flea markets as far away as Paris, London, and Ft. Lauderdale.

Peter studied at Sheboygan high school, until he dropped out in to pursue his artistic career and spend the family fortune (made in cheese, of course).

He lives queitly (except for the occasional escapade involving exposing himself to girl-scouts selling cookies) in his ancestral home on the outskirts of town.

One of Peter's major works, "Purple Buddah on Toliet", has always been an enigma to the people of  Sheboygan, and art critics as well.  When asked for the meaning of the piece, Peter replied, "I wanted to say the Buddah is full of shit."

Pressed for whether this is a statement concerning religion in general, Peter replied, "No, just the Buddah.  I painted this picture after my girlfriend dumped me to go study under  the Dali Lama.  The grody old bastard.  I hope the fuckin' chineese choke him on a big turd."

"I did this one one night after dropping some really good acid and drinking a bottle of Smirnov's", Peter says.

"Wow.  That was one hell of a trip."

Peter was attempting to break into one of our beer machines at the time, so he didn't go into much more detail on this one.
